Last night, @hazenhousestudios hosted another spectacular rendition of the stage play, @waitinondaplug. @richellegemini, the stage play writer, director and stars in it as the lead Passtha (paster), narrates through a dream sequence of the main character as he is waiting on his plug to arrive with that good.

This stage play musical that that will leave you feeling elevated, and I'm not talking about the second hand you'll aquire. You will feel uplifted with joy by the sounds of the medical missionary chour.

There will be another live show in Februaryso make sure you get your tickets when they announce it!

Standing 🫡 salute to @piratefamevisuals for the amazing expo he and the @hazenhousestudios team put together last night. As soon as you stepped in it felt like walking in to the room where the TV was so you could have your bowl of your favorite cereal and watch your favorite Saturday morning cartoons. Beautiful art pieces that he had been working on for years were put on display and people got the chance to speak with him and learn about art work.

Can’t wait for the next one!

Beats & Brews by the Bayou — curated by @sayntchris and powered by the creative minds at @the.heist.agency — felt like a deep breath before #AfroTech. The coffee from @fourtaste set the tone early — smooth, flavorful, and exactly what you needed to get grounded in the moment.

You could feel the peace in the air: people journaling in the grass, couples soaking in the weather, children laughing, even Chris’ pup Young Rocket was exploring everything with his tail wagging. Honestly it felt like a reset.

The music matched the mood perfectly — soulful, laid back, and alive. Every track blended with the breeze, the smell of fresh coffee, and the sound of laughter from every corner of the bayou.

Big salute to everyone who helped make this happen — the organizers, the artists, the baristas, the people. Houston needs more days like this.
